Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (Night shift; specific days not specified)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) to preserve dignity
- Monitor and record vital signs and changes in resident condition promptly and accurately
- Assist with safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and lift protocols
- Support meal times and hydration, observing dietary needs and reporting concerns
- Document care and communicate effectively with the nursing team to ensure continuity
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect residents and staff
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families, offering comfort and respectful support
- Participate in shift handoffs and team huddles to promote coordinated, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) or equivalent as required by state regulations
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or skilled nursing is a plus but new grads are welcome
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain promptly
- Ability to pass required background checks, TB screening, and immunization requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- GNA certification / state-approved nursing assistant training
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong person-centered caregiving skills with empathy for older adults
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, observation, documenting changes in condition
- Good communication and teamwork — keeping the care team informed matters
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Knowledge of infection prevention and resident safety practices
- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to soothe and engage residents with cognitive changes
