Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support mobility and safe transfers, helping residents remain as independent as possible
- Monitor residents’ comfort and safety, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with meal service and feeding as needed while respecting resident preferences
- Document care accurately and communicate clearly during shift handoffs
- Build meaningful connections with residents — brighten someone’s day through kind, respectful care
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- Comfortable and available to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Basic ability to perform resident transfers and assist with ADLs safely
- Clear communication skills for documentation and handoffs
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and dignity-centered caregiving
- Ability to assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Basic infection control and resident safety practices
- Accurate documentation and effective shift communication
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for older adults
