Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities to preserve dignity and comfort
- Provide compassionate personal care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs and daily observations accurately
- Help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents
- Communicate clearly with nurses and the care team about resident needs and changes
- Support social and recreational activities to engage residents and promote wellbeing
- Document care and incidents timely and professionally
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- Prior experience working with older adults or in long-term care preferred but not mandatory
- Comfort working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift
- Ability to pass background and health screenings as required by facility
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- CPR/BLS certification is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care and common age-related needs
- Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Basic ability to take and report vital signs and observations
- Good documentation and record-keeping habits
- Infection control awareness and safe patient handling
- Compassionate communication with residents and families
