Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical ventilation for adult critical care patients, including ventilator setup, adjustments and weaning
- Perform airway management procedures such as suctioning, oral/nasal airway placement and tracheostomy care
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) to guide respiratory interventions and collaborate on patient plans
- Deliver aerosolized and inhaled therapies using nebulizers, MDI and other medication delivery systems
- Troubleshoot ventilator and high-pressure alarm situations quickly and safely
- Support extubation and other advanced respiratory procedures with clinical judgment and compassion
- Document assessments, interventions and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize respiratory care and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- State respiratory therapist license required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (critical care or adult acute care preferred)
- ACLS and BLS preferred; CRT helpful
- High school diploma plus college diploma and/or transcripts required
- Comfortable floating between campuses as needed
- Previous travel experience preferred but not required
Education
- High school diploma required
- College diploma and/or transcripts required (respiratory therapy or related field preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Ventilator management, including experience with GE 860 ventilators
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPAP, CPAP and oxygen therapy
- Nebulizer setups (handheld, T-piece, trach collar) and medication delivery systems
- Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and ventilator weaning principles
- Airway management skills including extubation and tracheostomy care
- Troubleshooting high pressure alarms and acute respiratory events
- Medications and inhaled therapies such as albuterol, inhaled steroids, nitric oxide and others
- Pulmonary hygiene, sputum collection and pulmonary assessment for adult patients
