Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts). Schedule set in 4-week blocks with self-scheduling (finalized by manager), typically every-other-week (EOW) patterns, 2 weekends required per 4-week schedule; may float to East Campus and possibly PCU. Night shift, average guaranteed 36 hours/week.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and dysrhythmias, signing at least once per shift
- Provide compassionate acute cardiac and medical nursing care for telemetry patients
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate patientfocused plans
- Administer and manage set-rate drips like Diltiazem/Cardizem per unit protocols
- Perform timely assessments, document thoroughly in Cerner, and escalate changes in condition
- Deliver patient and family education about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Assist with post-op and total joint replacement care as needed
- Support unit operations including floating to other campuses or PCU when qualified
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (eligible to work in Arizona)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care/telemetry nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to start
- Proven ability to read basic telemetry strips and interpret dysrhythmias
- Experience with CVA/TIA patients and total joint replacement care preferred
- Cerner charting experience recommended (orientation on unit is limited)
- Must pass the dysrhythmia exam with an 80% score within two attempts prior to signing the contract
- Willingness to work nights, required weekends, and float when needed
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and ECG/dysrhythmia interpretation
- Reading and documenting telemetry strips reliably
- Familiarity with Diltiazem/Cardizem set-rate drips
- Comfort with respiratory treatments, BiPAP and CPAP
- Strong clinical assessment and acute care judgment
- Effective communication and teamwork on a busy cardiac/medical unit
- Proficiency with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
