Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Provide compassionate hands-on care while preserving patient dignity and privacy
- Document patient information and care provided in a clear, timely manner
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility, following proper body mechanics
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — NC certification preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working a 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day shift and providing hands-on care
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to pass facility-required background check and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and assistance with ADLs
- Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
- Infection prevention and safe handling techniques
- Clear documentation and basic electronic medical record familiarity
- Effective teamwork, time management, and compassionate bedside manner
