Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer intravesical chemotherapy (Gemcitabine/Gemzar) safely and accurately as the clinic’s chemo RN
- Perform and support urology special procedures including UDS, PTNS, catheter changes and voiding trials
- Provide Clean Intermittent Catheterization (CIC) teaching and hands-on patient education to promote independence
- Triaged patient phone calls, manage the EPIC in-basket and process medication refills promptly and professionally
- Prepare and administer injections (Botox/Testosterone) and support clinicians during procedures — facility provides training as needed
- Document all patient encounters thoroughly in EPIC to ensure continuity of care and clear communication
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary team to deliver attentive outpatient urology care
- Act as a patient advocate — explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure patient comfort and safety
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (candidates must be eligible to work in Washington)
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience required
- Comfortable and competent with catheterization — this is a must
- Prior outpatient urology experience highly preferred; strong urology skills from acute care are acceptable
- Experience with EPIC charting is preferred
- Chemo certification is NOT required — facility will provide training for intravesical chemo and many procedures
- First-time travel nurses accepted; locals are also encouraged to apply
- Able to work Monday-Friday day shifts, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
