Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures and imaging with precision and care
• Administer radionuclides safely, following established protocols and radiation safety practices
• Assess patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and quality outcomes
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images
• Collaborate with licensed practitioners to provide diagnostic information and support clinical decisions
• Maintain professional judgment and ethical standards in all patient interactions
• Document procedures, patient status, and imaging results accurately and promptly

Qualifications

• Oregon license (required) — must be fully licensed to practice in Oregon
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB or ARRT(N)) preferred
• Current BLS certification (or willing to obtain promptly)
• Comfortable working with radionuclide handling and radiation safety principles
• Strong patient-care skills and ability to communicate clearly with patients and clinical teams
• Detail-oriented, professional, and able to exercise sound clinical judgment

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in nuclear medicine procedures and imaging protocols
• Radionuclide administration and safe handling practices
• Patient assessment, monitoring, and compassionate bedside care
• Familiarity with imaging equipment operation and quality control
• Good clinical documentation and communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Understanding of radiation safety regulations and infection control
