Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures and imaging with precision and care
- Administer radionuclides safely, following established protocols and radiation safety practices
- Assess patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and quality outcomes
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images
- Collaborate with licensed practitioners to provide diagnostic information and support clinical decisions
- Maintain professional judgment and ethical standards in all patient interactions
- Document procedures, patient status, and imaging results accurately and promptly
Qualifications
- Oregon license (required) — must be fully licensed to practice in Oregon
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB or ARRT(N)) preferred
- Current BLS certification (or willing to obtain promptly)
- Comfortable working with radionuclide handling and radiation safety principles
- Strong patient-care skills and ability to communicate clearly with patients and clinical teams
- Detail-oriented, professional, and able to exercise sound clinical judgment
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in nuclear medicine procedures and imaging protocols
- Radionuclide administration and safe handling practices
- Patient assessment, monitoring, and compassionate bedside care
- Familiarity with imaging equipment operation and quality control
- Good clinical documentation and communication with multidisciplinary teams
- Understanding of radiation safety regulations and infection control
