Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist MRI technologists by preparing patients for MRI exams and ensuring comfort and safety
• Operate and support GE HDXT MRI equipment (16.0 / 23.0) under supervision
• Coordinate patient flow and maintain approximately a 9-patient-per-shift pace in a team setting
• Perform patient positioning, screening for contraindications, and assist with transferring patients safely
• Maintain a clean, organized imaging environment and assist with routine equipment checks
• Communicate clearly with patients and the care team, documenting relevant information in the electronic record
• Respond to on-call duties as required and support the department during evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current MRI experience (required)
• Experience with GE HDXT MRI systems (16.0 and 23.0) (required)
• Meditech Expanse experience (strongly preferred)
• Active American Heart Association BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and take call as needed
• Traveler must have a reliable vehicle and include permanent address in profile
• Note: Berkshire Health System will not consider travelers who reside within 50 miles of the facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of MRI safety protocols and patient screening
• Familiarity with GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 MRI platforms
• Comfortable using Meditech Expanse or similar electronic health record systems
• Strong patient communication and positioning skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with MRI techs, aides, and broader radiology staff
• Good time management to support a steady patient volume (~9 patients/shift)
