Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition accurately and promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to support resident independence and safety
• Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team and families to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain tidy, accurate documentation and complete any required charting in a timely manner
• Follow infection prevention protocols and facility policies to protect residents and staff
• Support admissions, discharges, and transitions to make sure residents feel comfortable

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification (NH or VT licensure accepted as noted)
• Comfortable working night shifts and available for every-other-weekend coverage
• Minimum competency in basic nursing skills and resident safety
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screens, and meet facility health requirements
• Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Completion of an accredited LNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and personal care
• Able to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safety practices
• Good observational skills to notice changes in residents’ conditions
• Strong time management, teamwork, and bedside manner
