Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the chart
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to create and update care plans
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS a plus
- Previous clinical/acute care experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team
- Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and critical thinking
- Medication administration and documentation
- EHR charting proficiency and accurate record-keeping
- Patient education and bedside manner that comforts families
- Infection control practices and safety protocols
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
