Radiologic Technologist - Outpatient

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating day shifts — primarily 3x12-hour day shifts (07:30 AM - 08:00 PM). Schedule may include 8- and 10-hour day shifts as needed; weekends required. Expect variable additional shifts and occasional optional overtime; final schedule provided in advance.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiography and X-ray exams with accuracy and care
- Position patients for routine and trauma imaging while prioritizing safety
- Use GE imaging equipment confidently (Siemens familiarity a plus)
- Document exams and chart accurately in EPIC to support continuity of care
- Maintain radiation safety and infection prevention standards at all times
- Work independently to manage patient flow and provide limited orientation to students and peers
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure timely, compassionate patient experiences
Qualifications
- Active Washington state radiologic technologist license (WA LIC) required
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of radiography experience required (1 year considered)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Comfortable working independently and in a teaching environment with students shadowing
- Weekend availability required
Knowledge & Skills
- Diagnostic radiography / X-ray positioning for adult and pediatric patients
- Patient positioning for trauma and routine exams (upper/lower extremity, spine, chest, abdomen)
- Radiation safety principles and safe equipment operation
- Infection prevention and isolation precautions
- Proficiency with GE imaging equipment; Siemens experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to orient/mentor students
