Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality direct patient care during overnight shifts
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document responses
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Respond effectively to urgent situations and follow facility emergency protocols
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the patient record
• Support patient and family education with clarity and empathy

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN licensure (Licensed Practical Nurse) — LPN or RN candidates considered
• Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification recommended or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work overnight 12+ hour shifts and remain focused during high-acuity periods
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program (or equivalent for RN candidates)

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfort and competence with overnight/overnight-to-morning patient care
• Medication administration and safety practices
• Patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Clear documentation practices and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Team collaboration, prioritization, and time management during busy shifts
