Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients following established hospital methods and procedures
- Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care that enhances the patient experience
- Work under direct supervision of the department manager/director, charge nurse, or team leader to deliver safe care
- Support nursing leadership and staff by delivering consistent, high-quality service to patients and families
- Adhere to facility policies including attendance expectations and professional standards
- Communicate clearly with the care team to coordinate patient needs and transitions
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license (must be active at time of submission)
- Minimum 2+ years of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience (required)
- BLS (AHA) certification (required; submit documentation)
- Michigan LTC fingerprinting is a plus and considered a selling point
- Comfortable working under supervision and following established hospital procedures
- Willingness to follow facility dress code (matching scrubs)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of Long-Term Care practices and patient-centered approaches
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients and support families
- Familiarity with standards and procedures used in a hospital/LTC setting
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality in accordance with facility policy
