Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients following established hospital methods and procedures
• Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care that enhances the patient experience
• Work under direct supervision of the department manager/director, charge nurse, or team leader to deliver safe care
• Support nursing leadership and staff by delivering consistent, high-quality service to patients and families
• Adhere to facility policies including attendance expectations and professional standards
• Communicate clearly with the care team to coordinate patient needs and transitions

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (must be active at time of submission)
• Minimum 2+ years of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required; submit documentation)
• Michigan LTC fingerprinting is a plus and considered a selling point
• Comfortable working under supervision and following established hospital procedures
• Willingness to follow facility dress code (matching scrubs)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Long-Term Care practices and patient-centered approaches
• Ability to provide compassionate care to patients and support families
• Familiarity with standards and procedures used in a hospital/LTC setting
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality in accordance with facility policy
