Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care during night shifts to residents at Bloomfield Nursing and Rehab
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in condition clearly and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely following facility policies and physician orders
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans
• Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns to charge nurse or provider as needed
• Support residents with activities of daily living and promote dignity and independence
• Communicate with families and caregivers with professionalism and empathy
• Ensure accurate electronic charting and handoffs for continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (state licensure required)
• Comfortable and experienced working night shift hours (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM)
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or able to obtain per facility policy
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Reliable, professional, and committed to resident-centered care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); LPN: Practical Nursing diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and IV/PO nursing skills relevant to post-acute care
• Wound care basics and pressure injury prevention
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs, and recognizing clinical changes
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
