Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Abbotts Creek Center
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to orders
- Assess and monitor patient condition, recording vital signs and changes in status
- Document care promptly and clearly in the medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to implement individualized care plans
- Respond to patient needs and emergencies with calm, competent action
- Support patients and families through education, reassurance, and respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina (required)
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
- Clinical experience as an LPN preferred (recent grads welcome to apply)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate documentation
- Basic wound care and skin integrity assessments
- Assistance with ADLs and safe patient handling
- Comfortable using electronic health records and charting systems
- Solid clinical judgment, prioritization, and time-management abilities
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and teammates
