Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients using the Nursing Process and document findings thoroughly and accurately
- Develop individualized plans of care based on comprehensive patient assessments
- Implement therapeutic nursing interventions and update charts promptly
- Evaluate patient responses to care and revise the plan as needed to achieve best outcomes
- Supervise and direct unit staff in carrying out specific elements of the patient plan of care
- Delegate tasks appropriately while ensuring safety and quality of care
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and handoffs to support continuity of care
- Step in for other duties as assigned to keep the unit running smoothly
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license required (LARA and/or Nursys must show Active MI license)
- American Heart Association BLS certification (current) required
- Minimum 2+ years of Med-Surg nursing experience required
- Strong orthopedic experience required — you’ll manage ortho patients confidently
- Supervisory experience preferred; ability to direct and mentor unit staff
- Completed Skills Checklist (current to 1 year) pertinent to Med-Surg required
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
Knowledge & Skills
- Nursing assessment and development of effective care plans
- Implementation and evaluation of patient-centered interventions
- Delegation and team supervision on a Med-Surg unit
- Accurate documentation and charting practices
- Patient supervision and leadership during clinical shifts
- Comfort working with orthopedic patients and post-operative care
- Familiarity with unit policies, procedures, and the Nursing Process
