Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert C-arm and O-arm coverage in the Operating Room to support surgical teams
• Perform intraoperative X-ray procedures accurately and safely during surgeries
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to keep procedures running smoothly
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff
• Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with imaging and OR best practices

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT registration
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of RT experience in surgical/trauma or similar settings, preferably Level I Trauma or teaching hospital
• Proven proficiency operating C-arm and O-arm systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration
• Must have 3s or 4s for C-arm and O-arm (hard stop requirement)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT registration (RT) required
• State radiologic technologist license where applicable
• Current BLS certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fluency with intraoperative imaging: C-arm, O-arm, and surgical X-ray procedures
• Familiarity with imaging systems and vendors: GE, CT Airo, Medtronic, Stryker, Ziehm, and other OR equipment
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Strong situational awareness, sterile technique, and OR teamwork skills
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and patient-centered care approach
