Shift Type: Wednesday-Tuesday, 10-hour shifts (start/end times vary by assignment), 40 hours guaranteed, rotating schedule

Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients using the nursing process and deliver individualized, evidence-based care
- Coordinate and implement care plans for cardiac catheterization patients
- Perform patient evaluation before, during, and after cath lab procedures to ensure safety
- Delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary staff in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to prevent complications and facilitate smooth transitions
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Provide patient and family education related to procedures, recovery, and follow-up care
- Participate in orientation, competency validation, and continuing education activities
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license required at time of submission (compact allowed)
- Minimum 2 years RN Cath Lab experience - required
- Active American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications - required
- Experience in critical care settings (ICU, ED) or prior Cath/EP Lab experience - preferred
- Must disclose any prior Parkland employment history in your profile
- Resume, skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab, and two supervisory references from the last year required
- Proof of taxable address (driver's license, utility bill, lease, etc.) required
- Able to work 10-hour shifts and the facility's Wednesday-to-Tuesday scheduling cadence
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
- Active RN license (Texas) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong command of the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation
- Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures and patient monitoring
- Critical care knowledge for ICU/ED crossover patients
- Ability to delegate appropriately and supervise ancillary staff
- Excellent clinical documentation and charting skills
- Clear communicator who collaborates well with physicians, techs, and the care team
- Familiarity with EP lab practices is a plus
