Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage and stabilize patients presenting to the emergency department with urgency and compassion
• Initiate and manage treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary team
• Perform timely and accurate clinical documentation to support continuity of care
• Administer medications, start IVs and monitor patient responses safely and efficiently
• Provide patient and family education, de-escalation and emotional support during high-stress situations
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure safe handoffs during transitions of care
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or ability to obtain state licensure promptly
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or demonstrable completion upon hire
• Travel nursing experience preferred and ability to complete required onboarding and credentials
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening checks
• Strong critical thinking, assessment and prioritization skills in fast-paced settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency triage and rapid patient assessment
• Proficiency in IV therapy, medication administration and monitoring
• Experience with electronic health record documentation and clinical workflows
• Skills in trauma care, cardiac monitoring and acute medical management
• Excellent communication, teamwork and patient advocacy abilities
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make timely clinical decisions
