Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality labor & delivery nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients
- Monitor fetal status using GE and Novii fetal monitors and act promptly on concerning findings
- Perform triage assessments and prioritize care efficiently to ensure patient safety
- Support vaginal deliveries and assist with C/S circulating responsibilities in the OR
- Deliver neonatal stabilization and resuscitation as needed (NRP/STABLE practices)
- Document care accurately using CPN and Meditech to maintain clear clinical records
- Collaborate with the OB team to manage VBACs, patients on magnesium sulfate or insulin, and complex labor scenarios
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (state registration required for travel assignments)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience (as listed in the posting)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification (required)
- BLS, NRP and STABLE certifications (required)
- Experience with triage, couplet care, and circulating in the OR
- Comfortable performing/assisting with vaginal deliveries, C/S, epidurals and related procedures
Education
- Nursing education required (degree/diploma not explicitly specified in posting) — active RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and intervention skills
- Triage assessment and prioritization in an OB setting
- Couplet care for mother and newborn
- Proficient with electronic documentation systems (CPN, Meditech)

- Ability to use Timpani scheduling and work within unit staffing workflows
