Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered med/surg and telemetry nursing care for assigned patients, typically 4-6 at a time
• Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance with confidence
• Safely administer medications and maintain accurate medication records
• Monitor telemetry and quickly escalate changes in patient condition to the care team
• Document care thoroughly and efficiently in Meditech EHR to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and support staff to optimize patient flow and outcomes
• Support a positive unit culture by mentoring colleagues and contributing to team-based problem solving

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
• Minimum 1 year of acute med/surg experience within the last year (required)
• Comfortable caring for 4-6 patients at a time
• Experience with IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance, and medication administration
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar EHR documentation workflows
• Friendly, team-focused attitude and strong communication skills

Education

• Active RN license (required)

• Central line care and sterile technique awareness
