Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage telemetry patients using on-unit and remote cardiac monitoring to spot changes early
- Provide expert nursing care for adults with cardiac and medical-surgical conditions, including postoperative and post-catheterization patients
- Administer therapies and procedures such as IV starts, phlebotomy, central line/PICC care, blood product administration, and feeding tube management
- Interpret ABGs and manage non-invasive and high-flow respiratory support (HFNC, CPAP/BIPAP) as needed
- Implement and follow heparin and cardiac drip protocols, escalate per policy, and assist with vasoactive management (per facility guidelines)
- Respond rapidly as part of Rapid Response/Code teams and support emergency interventions including dysrhythmia management
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic to maintain clear communication and continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, PT, Pharmacy, IV/Phlebotomy teams, Social Services) to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care to promote safe recovery
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience (telemetry or acute care experience preferred)
- Epic charting experience required
- IV therapy and phlebotomy experience preferred
- Certifications preferred: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Comfortable floating between units and working night shifts and scheduled weekends (6/6 week rotation)
- Demonstrated ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac telemetry patients
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry and cardiac monitoring (on-unit and remote)
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Central line and PICC line care and blood product administration
- IV starts, phlebotomy, and peripheral line management
- Respiratory support skills: HFNC, CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care
- ABG interpretation and basic ventilatory assessment
- Familiarity with cardiac drips protocols and post-cardiac cath/angiogram care
- Feeding tube care, CBI awareness, and pre/post hemodialysis patient management
- Strong Epic documentation skills and interdisciplinary communication
