Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM NOC (primarily overnight; exact days vary and may include weekends; floating between departments as needed)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Perform portable and trauma radiography in OR, ED and inpatient settings with confidence
- Evaluate images for technical quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure diagnostic usefulness
- Float between departments when assigned to meet patient care needs across the facility
- Collaborate closely with surgical, emergency and inpatient teams to support timely imaging
- Supervise and mentor students from Grady, including performing competency check-offs
- Document imaging procedures and findings accurately in EPIC and Sectra
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety and mask-fit requirements at all times
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT approved program
- Minimum 1 year level 1 trauma experience OR 2-3 years at a large-bed level 2 trauma facility
- Experience with OR, ED, inpatient radiography and portable imaging
- Familiarity with EPIC and Sectra, and equipment such as GE, Philips and CareStream
- Mask fit required; willingness to learn pediatric and neonatal imaging
- Comfort supervising students and performing competency check-offs
Education
- Graduated from a JRCERT/ARRT approved radiography program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in radiography and fluoroscopy technique
- Ability to evaluate and optimize image quality
- Experience with portable X-ray and trauma radiography workflows
- Comfort working in high-acuity areas (OR, ED) and adapting to fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with EPIC and Sectra electronic medical records
- Familiarity with GE, Philips and CareStream imaging equipment
- Student supervision and competency assessment skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork and patient-care bedside manner
