Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to med/surg and acute care patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and hospital policy
• Monitor patients closely, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate actively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe transitions of care
• Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• Current, full and unrestricted RN license to practice in any U.S. state, territory, or Puerto Rico
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute care setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) within six months of hire
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) completion within six months of hire
• Ability to work independently and follow physician orders, standards of care, and policies

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical nursing skills in Med/Surg and acute care environments
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
• Familiarity with emergency response and acute stabilization
• Effective communication and teamwork across a multidisciplinary care team
• Accurate clinical documentation and comfort with electronic medical records
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to provide respectful care in a diverse community
