Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in the ED
- Perform triage and independent clinical decision-making to prioritize care
- Execute physician orders and interventions accurately and promptly
- Document patient status, interventions and outcomes per hospital policy
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and transfers
- Adhere to standards of care, nursing policies, and hospital procedures to ensure patient safety
- Support culturally competent care for Navajo, Hopi and other local populations
Qualifications
- Active RN license from any U.S. state (Arizona state license not required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) — current and maintained throughout employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — current and maintained throughout employment
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) — current and maintained throughout employment
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) — required within one year of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) — required within one year of hire
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) — required within one year of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — complete within 6 months of hire
- Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Level 5 — complete within 3 months of hire
- Patient Sitter Competency training upon hire
- Ability to work independently and follow physician orders and hospital policies
Knowledge & Skills
- Triage and emergency department assessment
- Independent clinical decision-making in acute situations
- Trauma, pediatric and neonatal emergency care principles
- Familiarity with Emergency Severity Index (ESI) and NIH Stroke Scale
- Strong documentation and adherence to standards of care
- Cultural competency when serving Navajo, Hopi and other local communities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
