Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography (including 3-D mammography) with patient-centered care
• Assist radiologists during stereotactic biopsies, fine needle aspirations, and needle localizations
• Operate and maintain Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX equipment safely and effectively
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Epic to support excellent continuity of care
• Follow isolation precautions and facility infection-control protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with radiology, interpretation services, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely results
• Provide compassionate patient education and answer questions to reduce anxiety during imaging and procedures

Qualifications

• Active California Radiologic Technologist license (CA License required)
• ARRT (registry) and ARRT Advanced certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant mammography/imaging experience
• Familiarity with Epic charting system (charting in Epic required)
• Comfortable with stereotactic biopsy procedures, fine needle aspiration, and needle localizations

Knowledge & Skills

• 3-D mammography (Hologic 3D) and Hologic Affirm BX operation
• Screening and diagnostic mammogram techniques and positioning
• Stereotactic biopsy and fine needle aspiration support
• Needle localization procedures
• Strong Epic documentation skills
• Adherence to isolation precautions and safety protocols
• Excellent patient communication and comfort management skills
