Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents at Bloomfield Nursing and Rehab
• Assess patient conditions and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document patient status, interventions, and progress clearly and timely
• Educate residents and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
• Respond effectively to emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico or compact RN privilege (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and care planning
• Proficient with medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable with wound care, transfers, and mobility assistance
• Accurate clinical documentation and electronic health record familiarity
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond calmly in urgent situations
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
