Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under provider supervision, demonstrating CMA competency
- Perform point of care testing, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and prepare specimens promptly
- Room patients, obtain accurate vital signs and medical histories, and document in the EMR
- Administer injections and assist with simple diagnostic testing and office procedures
- Manage patient flow to keep clinics running efficiently and minimize wait times
- Answer patient phone calls professionally and route inquiries to the appropriate staff
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities to support better patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe clinical environment and assist with general office needs and equipment use
Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required; AAMA certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of clinical practice experience - pediatric experience is required and non-negotiable
- Phlebotomy / venipuncture experience required
- Current American Heart Association BLS (must be active and uploaded)
- Valid driver license and reliable personal vehicle required
- One supervisory signed reference from the past two years required
- Permanent address and any requested time-off (RTO) must be included in your profile
- Willingness and ability to float between outpatient practices as needed
Education
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (AAMA preferred)
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric outpatient care knowledge and comfort working with children and families
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection best practices
- Electronic medical record documentation and basic computer proficiency
- Infection control, medical/surgical asepsis, and safe patient positioning
- Point of care testing and basic diagnostic procedure familiarity
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction and telephone triage
- Ability to manage patient flow and multitask in a busy clinic environment
- Participation in CQI processes and attention to detail
