Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans that help restore function and independence
- Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions and document progress clearly and timely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Educate patients and families on exercises, home programs, and safety strategies
- Monitor and modify treatment based on patient response and clinical best practices
- Contribute to a positive, professional environment that supports patient dignity and recovery
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Maine or eligible for Maine licensure
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Clinical experience in physical therapy settings preferred; new grads with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with clinical outcome measures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered mindset
Education
- Degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor's/Master's in PT or Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance and functional mobility strategies
- Knowledge of orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation principles
- Comfortable using clinical documentation systems and outcome measurement tools
- Ability to assess patient progress and adjust plans of care accordingly
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family education
