Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on direct patient care including hygiene, mobility assistance, and comfort measures
- Monitor and document patient condition, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers and patient positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
- Support restorative and rehabilitative care plans under the guidance of licensed staff
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families by communicating respectfully and clearly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (T-CNA accepted)
- Active credentials required by the assigning facility and state of practice
- Comfort with 12+ hour night shifts and the ability to maintain focus and clinical accuracy overnight
- Reliable, compassionate attitude with strong patient-centered values
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fundamentals of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
- Accurate documentation and charting skills
- Familiarity with infection control, patient safety, and mobility techniques
- Clear verbal and written communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
