Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Monitor and record resident conditions, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning while following facility protocols
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents’ comfort and dignity
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members to advocate for residents

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; T-CNA candidates considered as indicated
• Current basic life support (BLS) may be required by facility (check assignment specifics)
• Ability to work overnight 12+ hour shifts (Thursday–Saturday)
• Pass a facility background check, drug screen, and required immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in providing ADL support and basic patient care
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Comfortable with vital sign collection and basic documentation
• Solid teamwork and communication with clinical staff
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy long-term care setting
• Attention to detail and respect for resident dignity and privacy
