Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Provide compassionate, person-centered support that preserves dignity and independence
- Take and record basic vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Document care thoroughly in the patient record to ensure continuity
- Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, and families to coordinate care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Qualifications
- Required: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (T-CNA accepted)
- Travel CNA experience preferred and a willingness to adapt to new settings
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- CNA certification required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
- Proficient with basic vital signs and observation of resident condition
- Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
- Good documentation and charting habits
- Strong interpersonal skills for resident and family interactions
- Ability to follow care plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability to different facility routines and resident needs
