Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor patient condition and accurately document changes and vital information
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote patient comfort
- Support the interdisciplinary team by following care plans and communicating needs
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Offer emotional support and engage residents in social and therapeutic activities
Qualifications
- Active CNA or T-CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant required)
- Valid authorization to work in the state of New Mexico
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfort with night shift responsibilities and working in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic nursing care and assistance with ADLs
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
- Accurate documentation and charting skills
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
- Compassionate patient interaction and dignity-focused care
