Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other week/holiday (EOW & EOH); 36 hours per week; no call required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for patients across the lifespan in a fast-paced ED environment
- Perform rapid assessment, triage, and prioritized interventions for critically ill and injured patients
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced cardiac life support interventions as indicated
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, techs, and support staff to coordinate efficient patient flow
- Document patient care and clinical findings accurately in Epic EHR
- Lead and participate in trauma and resuscitation events, maintaining composure under pressure
- Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (license verification required)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (all required and must be current)
- Experience working in Emergency Department settings and familiarity with trauma protocols
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record
- Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
- Pass required health screenings (2-step PPD or IGRA, 10-panel drug screen, immunizations, fit test, COVID-19 and influenza vaccine)
- Must be located 75+ miles from facility (NO LOCAL contracts)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong triage and rapid assessment skills for emergency presentations
- Trauma care and resuscitation experience
- Excellent acute care nursing judgment and prioritization
- Proficient documentation and order entry in Epic
- Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
- IV/medication administration, airway management basics, and cardiac monitoring
