Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality fluoroscopic imaging during cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures
- Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot interventional imaging equipment to ensure smooth procedures
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and technologists to deliver safe, patient-centered care
- Maintain radiation safety practices and ensure proper shielding and ALARA principles
- Monitor patients during procedures and assist with patient positioning and sterile technique
- Document procedures accurately and communicate critical findings to the clinical team
- Support department workflow by prepping procedural rooms and ensuring inventory of necessary supplies
Qualifications
- Current ARRT RT(R) credential required
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Radiologic Technologist license required
- Healthcare Provider BLS (required)
- AHA ACLS (required)
- One year of Cath Lab/Angio hospital experience or equivalent training preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of radiologic technology and diagnostic imaging principles
- Hands-on experience with cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures
- Familiarity with interventional radiology workflows and sterile technique
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot imaging systems and fluoroscopy equipment
- Patient monitoring skills and awareness of acute care protocols
- Effective communication and teamwork in high-paced procedural settings
