Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift; specific days not provided)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care for geriatric residents, including bathing, dressing and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident status accurately and promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques
- Support residents with meals and feeding assistance when needed
- Document resident care and observations clearly in charts or electronic records
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families and care teams to ensure continuity of care
- Promote dignity and independence by encouraging resident participation in daily activities
Qualifications
- Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent
- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred but welcoming to strong new grads
- Ability to work night shifts and provide consistent, reliable coverage
- Willingness to complete required background checks and provide up-to-date immunizations
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an approved GNA training program and current GNA certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable providing hands-on personal care for older adults
- Skilled at measuring and recording vital signs and basic observations
- Familiarity with safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach and cultural sensitivity
- Basic infection control and safety practices
