Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations to identify patient strengths and areas for improvement
• Develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence and functional goals
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adaptive techniques
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic care
• Document patient progress clearly and timely to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home programs, and safety
• Recommend and train on adaptive equipment and environmental modifications

Qualifications

• Current, active Occupational Therapist license in California or eligibility to obtain one quickly
• Minimum professional competence in OT assessments, treatment planning, and documentation
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfort collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced rehab setting
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s or OTD preferred) or equivalent entry-level OT degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in OT evaluation, treatment planning, and progress measurement
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics, and ADL training
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with clinical charting best practices
• Ability to teach and motivate patients and caregivers
• Good time management and prioritization in a caseload-driven environment
