Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations to identify patient strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence and functional goals
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adaptive techniques
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic care
- Document patient progress clearly and timely to ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home programs, and safety
- Recommend and train on adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
Qualifications
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license in California or eligibility to obtain one quickly
- Minimum professional competence in OT assessments, treatment planning, and documentation
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfort collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced rehab setting
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Education
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s or OTD preferred) or equivalent entry-level OT degree
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in OT evaluation, treatment planning, and progress measurement
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics, and ADL training
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with clinical charting best practices
- Ability to teach and motivate patients and caregivers
- Good time management and prioritization in a caseload-driven environment
