Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Clinic (typical weekdays), 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Night call (rotating), 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM; 24-hour call rotation, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM; rotating/on-call schedule with roughly 5-6 call days plus clinic coverage (call schedule released about one month prior)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $350 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality general urology care in clinic and on hospital call, delivering patient-centered evaluations and follow-up
- Perform common urologic procedures such as cystoscopy, vasectomy, prostate biopsy, TURP, ureteroscopy, and bladder scans
- Participate in surgical cases (20-30/month) and utilize onsite robotic capabilities when appropriate
- Manage admissions and coordinate care with the hospitalist team, including rounding on inpatients
- Respond to call consults and callbacks promptly and professionally, balancing new ED consults with returning patients
- Document thoroughly and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with nursing and clinic staff to maintain smooth clinic flow and positive patient experiences
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in Urology (board eligible candidates will be considered)
- Active DEA registration and BLS required prior to start
- Experience performing common urology procedures listed (cystoscopy, vasectomy, prostate biopsy, TURP, ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, cystectomy, ESWL, Botox injections preferred)
- Comfortable functioning as the sole provider in a busy department and able to handle a high patient volume
- Willingness to take hospital and night/24-hour call on rotation (1:6 call model)
- Successful completion of credentialing (providers must meet the credentialing deadline: all documents in hand three weeks before start)
Education
- MD or DO with completed Urology training (Board certified or board eligible)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinic and call management skills — triage, consults, and callbacks
- Proven OR experience and familiarity with perioperative care and rounding
- Comfortable with Epic EHR for charting, orders, and communication
- Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgery is a plus (robot onsite)
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient/customer service skills
- Ability to manage a fast-paced clinic (20-25 patients/day) and prioritize effectively
