Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on patient care and monitor patient status during night shifts
- Administer medications and document treatments accurately and on time
- Perform routine assessments and escalate changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with nursing team and clinical leadership to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain clear, timely charting and communicate handoffs at shift change
- Support a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for residents and patients
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — active and in good standing
- Experience working night shifts and weekend coverage preferred
- Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain if required by facility
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements
- Comfortable working independently during overnight hours and communicating effectively with team members
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and LPN credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Clinical observation and basic assessment abilities
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize during busy night shifts
- Clear verbal and written communication with patients, families, and staff
- Familiarity with long-term care or acute care nursing practices
