Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitoring to ensure safety and well being
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to coordinate patient care plans
• Observe and report changes in patient condition, escalating concerns when needed
• Support a secure, respectful environment appropriate for a correctional facility
• Participate in mandatory training and follow facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) license
• Prior experience in clinical nursing preferred; correctional healthcare experience a plus
• Reliable attendance and ability to commit to the scheduled days (NO TIME OFF expectation during assignment)
• Ability to complete required training (two week, Mon-Fri) and pass facility onboarding
• Clearing background checks and meeting facility security requirements

Education

• Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent required; LVN program graduate

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and patient observation skills
• Medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Clear, professional documentation and charting
• Infection control and safety practices
• Ability to work calmly in a secured, structured environment
• Good communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
