Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing needs using evidence-based tools
• Develop individualized treatment plans that help patients reach meaningful goals
• Deliver skilled therapy sessions and adapt approaches to each patient’s strengths
• Collaborate with PT/OT, nursing, educators, families and caregivers to create coordinated care plans
• Document progress thoroughly and maintain compliant, timely records
• Educate patients and families, empowering them with strategies to carry over gains at home
• Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to a positive, outcomes-focused culture

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• Current Massachusetts SLP license or ability to obtain state licensure
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
• Comfortable working across site locations (split position between North Adams and Williamstown)
• Strong clinical reasoning and excellent interpersonal skills
• Professional, reliable, and able to manage a full caseload in a fast-paced rehab/contract setting

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required); ASHA CCC-SLP strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in evaluation and treatment planning for speech, language, cognition and swallowing
• Experience with AAC, augmentative strategies and family-centered care
• Proficiency with documentation and electronic medical records
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
• Time management and caseload prioritization to ensure high-quality therapy
