Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered occupational therapy interventions to support functional independence
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Guide and train patients and families on activities of daily living and home strategies
• Document progress and outcomes clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient recovery
• Maintain professional standards, follow safety protocols, and support quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain upon hire
• Prior experience in outpatient, inpatient rehab, or contract travel OT settings preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
• Comfort with flexible assignments and travel for a 14-week contract

Education

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and therapeutic activity planning
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with nurses, PTs, SLPs, and case managers
• Familiarity with common rehab diagnoses and evidence-based OT interventions
• Good time management and caseload prioritization
• Comfortable using electronic health records and digital documentation tools
