Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered therapeutic interventions under the direction of a licensed PT
• Implement treatment plans focused on mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence
• Monitor patient progress and communicate clinically relevant changes to the PT
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize rehabilitation outcomes

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant license required
• Graduation from an accredited PTA program
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Prior experience in a rehab or post-acute setting preferred
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and mobility assistance
• Knowledge of common modalities and assistive devices
• Strong documentation and clinical reasoning skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary rehab team
