Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care that keeps residents safe and comfortable
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to create and follow individualized care plans
- Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
- Maintain infection control standards and contribute to a safe care environment
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure for New Mexico or compact/reciprocal license as applicable
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Comfortable working night shifts in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-minded attitude
- Travel nursing experience is a plus but not required
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing (LPN) program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate charting
- Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Experience with long-term care or skilled nursing best practices
- Infection prevention and control
- Electronic health record documentation and care coordination
