Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics
- Document care and observations accurately and promptly in the resident record
- Follow individualized care plans and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary staff
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
- Deliver patient-centered care with empathy, respect, and professionalism
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (CNA / T-CNA)
- Travel CNA experience or willingness to work as a Travel Certified Nursing Assistant is a plus
- Comfortable working 12-hour overnight shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Ability to pass facility-required screenings and meet onboarding requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in resident care and activities of daily living
- Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and team members
- Reliable documentation and attention to detail
- Adaptability in fast-paced long-term care environments
