Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record resident conditions and vital signs accurately and promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility to maintain independence and dignity
- Follow individualized care plans and communicate changes to the care team
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Support families and provide clear, kind communication about resident needs
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and documentation standards at all times
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- T-CNA credential or facility-specific training preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or as required by facility
- Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
- Comfort with night shift responsibilities and a team-oriented mindset
- Reliable, empathetic, and able to follow care plans and facility policies
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs, feeding, grooming, and toileting
- Strong patient observation and documentation skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Good communication and teamwork abilities with clinical staff and families
- Ability to perform safe resident transfers and use of mobility aids
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
