Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record resident conditions and vital signs accurately and promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to maintain independence and dignity
• Follow individualized care plans and communicate changes to the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Support families and provide clear, kind communication about resident needs
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and documentation standards at all times

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• T-CNA credential or facility-specific training preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or as required by facility
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Comfort with night shift responsibilities and a team-oriented mindset
• Reliable, empathetic, and able to follow care plans and facility policies

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs, feeding, grooming, and toileting
• Strong patient observation and documentation skills
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Good communication and teamwork abilities with clinical staff and families
• Ability to perform safe resident transfers and use of mobility aids
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
