Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and maintain resident comfort while promoting independence
• Assist with meal service and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families, delivering person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Travel CNA (T-CNA) experience is a plus but new travel CNAs are welcome
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any required health screenings
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire if required by facility)
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently on night shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) support and resident safety
• Skillful in taking and documenting vital signs and observing clinical changes
• Familiarity with basic charting/electronic documentation and care plans
• Good communication skills with residents, families, and the care team
• Solid infection control practices and safe patient handling techniques
• Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced long-term care environment
