Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire clinical teams to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care
• Oversee nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices
• Coordinate staffing, orientation, and mentorship to build a strong team
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical outcomes
• Collaborate with administration to align clinical goals with facility priorities
• Communicate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams with empathy and clarity

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (WV license or applicable compact/multi-state authorization as required)
• Proven leadership experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings
• Prior Director of Nursing or senior nursing supervisory experience preferred
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or other advanced certifications preferred
• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations and survey readiness
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and staff development skills

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) — BSN preferred; associate degree considered with substantial leadership experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical nursing expertise across long-term and post-acute care
• Regulatory knowledge (CMS, state regulations, survey processes)
• Staffing management, scheduling, and retention strategies
• Quality assurance, infection control, and documentation best practices
• Conflict resolution and effective interdisciplinary teamwork
• Electronic medical record familiarity and basic administrative skills
