Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility to promote patient independence
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient status and care provided
• Support infection control practices and keep the patient environment clean and safe
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Engage patients with respect and kindness to preserve dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (valid for work in North Carolina preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with hands-on patient care and lifting/assisting patients as needed
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living assistance and patient hygiene
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs and basic patient observations
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to comfort patients and families
• Reliable documentation and time management for shift responsibilities
